Download ...A Dangerous Thing books, Professor Carl Burns knew the new dean wasn't going to work out when she bought the two goats. And that was the least of the problems. Hartley Gorman College was being attacked - with a vengeance - by the forces of political correctness, and the new dean was an unreconstructed hippie. Courses would have to be rewritten, manners watched... and everyone knew Burns should have been the new dean, anyway. As if this weren't enough to contend with, Tom Henderson's fatal fall through a window definitely wasn't part of the planned curriculum. But figuring out whodunit is going to be a lot more interesting for Burns than grading papers for his developmental English class.

Ask the Fire, a book by Dennis Paddie. Get Ask the Fire Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Ask the Fire books, ''I had a friend who was a spy.'' So begins this story of espionage, set just before the terrible events of September 11th. Ask the Fire features a brilliant, almost enlightened, but emotionally jaded and politically cynical secret agent, a man who has seduced secrets out of Araby for decades for American intelligence agencies. Now, this agent struggles on his own to prevent the start of the Terrorist Wars. This is a story with a vast sweep that places spying and spiritual vision within the larger history of heresy and homosexuality in Western culture from the Crusades to our contemporary clash with Islamic fundamentalism. What events tie together the political activism of 1960's Texas with the legends of courtly love, the secrets of the Knights Templar and mysteries of Freemasonry in the architecture of the D.C. streets? The gay Mata Hari of Ask the Fire learns the truth. Dennis Paddie has penned a remarkable thriller, a book that transcends its story of spies and terrorists to reach for a deeply spiritual vision of human life in the charged world of the 21st century.

Burns, a seasoned field operative, was stationed abroad and tasked with eliminating America's most dangerous terrorists. Four years ago, he was injured en route to a critical mission and was sent home. With no memory of prior trainings and missions, his former handlers, the Department of Defense Foreign Intelligence Agency Operations Center, want him sedated and watched very carefully. Burns knows too much. They hope he never recovers, and that his secrets will remain forever undisclosed. With the help of Dr. David Caulfield, Burns does begin to remember and the agency is doing everything it can to stop him. Everyone Burns comes in contact with gets hunted down. Samantha, his nurse at the hospital, is almost murdered for asking too many questions; David, his hospital-appointed therapist, loses his sight; and David's wife is killed as the result of a car bomb explosion. But Burns is not to be deterred. He creates a team with the people who are on the run as a result of contact with him, and they set out to compromise the security of the government on May 2. If he is successful, he and his friends might live on the run for the rest of their lives. If he fails, at least they will die quickly.

Chaos Volume 2, a book by Claire Farrell. Get Chaos Volume 2 Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Chaos Volume 2 books, Books 4-6 in the Chaos series (including bonus novella, Kings). Usurper It’s been a year since Cara returned to the human realm with her daughter, and the fae have come knocking again. The game of kings is still being played, power is the ultimate prize, and Scarlet is an asset every court wishes to acquire. As Sadler’s next move is revealed to be his deadliest yet, and Scarlet’s burgeoning powers begin to develop into something that can’t be hidden, Cara realises that something more significant than a faery promise is needed to protect her family. It’s time for her to build on what she started in Sadler’s court. But although the game is seductive, the price of winning might be too costly for a human to pay. Blight As the blight spreads, destroying the land, Cara’s new subjects turn on her, and Brendan and Drake are no longer there to help her. The Darksiders thought she’d be pliable, or maybe even a miracle-worker, and it’s not as easy to scrub away Sadler’s influence as she thought. But Scarlet isn’t her only priority any more, and once the ceremony to swear her in as regent is done, it’ll be time for Cara to join forces with the kings, find a way to stop the blight, and prove to the fae that she can be the leader they need. It took a Darksider to steal the throne; it’ll take a faery queen to keep it. Kings Set between books five and six in the Chaos series, Kings is a brief look into the lives of Drake and Brendan. After sealing the rift, Drake hears word of his wife’s sickness only to find that the cause is exactly what unites his enemies against him. Brendan’s journey across unexplored waters is only beginning, and if he finds what he’s looking for, he’ll owe a determined woman a throne by his side. But can he do it? Whatever course of action is taken next, they will change their world. Sacrifice As a king’s life hangs in the balance, alliances are made then broken. Only trickery can help Cara protect those she cares about, but when her enemies show their true face, she realises the truth: every distraction feeds Chaos. Cara’s not the only one searching for a legendary treasure, not the only one reaching for power. The journey’s not over, but at the end of every path lies Sacrifice.

Download Back to the Hunt books, Ex-soldier Craig is working as mall security after being discharged from the military… until he’s called back. Now he needs to find and extract a dangerous bioweapon, save the townspeople from a rebel military uprising, and get out alive. ———— “Exciting from beginning to end!” —Early Reader Review “A thrilling read.” —Early Reader Review “Gripped me from the very beginning with authentic characters and engaging language.” —Early Reader Review After a mission goes wrong, Craig and the team he leads are sentenced to jail time, but evading the punishment, Craig gets off easy and trades his helmet for a name badge. Craig, an ex-soldier, is working as mall security after being discharged from the military, losing not only his brothers in arms but also his spirit. His new mundane life lacks the previous thrill his previous life had. Looking to be a hero and find purpose, Craig challenges the one person in town that no one dares go against, Jimmy Spaski. Shielded by the law, his father, and the town, Jimmy gets away with anything and everything. Taking on this challenge motivates Craig to do the one thing he thought he’d never do after he receives a mysterious call from General Anderson—a call that pushed him to return to the organization that exiled him two years prior: the United States Army. Shortly before Craig accepts the call from General Anderson, a military transport rips apart above the small rural town of Helm’s Hamlet, Iowa, resulting in a biological weapon being lost in the small town. With the plane ripping apart above, the town below takes refuge, but sadly not in time. The biological contamination had been released in the city after the mysterious crash. After the contaminant affects the city, only a lucky few survive. This new group within Helm’s Hamlet takes it upon themselves to re-establish society under their new authoritative rule. With a military uprising, the city has new leadership, and it isn’t the US Army. Because of the lost biological weapon, Craig is tasked with leading a team into Helm’s Hamlet to search for survivors, the biological weapon, and the dark secrets this town now holds. Craig and his new team infiltrate the town, but things don’t go as planned. Violent uprisings were something that Craig was used to, but this was something else entirely. Strings are pulled so that the very brothers Craig lost eighteen months ago after being discharged are present again. The terms of this assignment are simple: find and extract the bioweapon, save the townspeople, if any, and get out alive. If a success, Craig and his former brothers-in-arms will be free men. If they fail, a prison cell awaits them. Will Craig and his team find the lost biological weapon in time before more innocent people are killed? Even if they find the weapon and crash, how can they be sure they’ll succeed? With enemies around every corner, will Craig and his team find a way to save Helm’s Hamlet and America? "With government conspiracies that date by decades, spooky creatures, and a town with people who just won't do the right thing… Craig Eitel is the hero we all need." —Alex Williams, editor

Download The Callaghan Septology VII: The Final Facedown books, To his great relief, Callaghan is declared innocent of the murder he has been charged with. After assisting the Metropolitan Police to expose the Russian Mafia’s operation in the UK, he returns to Australia. Meanwhile, the head of the Russian Mafia, in an attempt to get his former life back, decides on a clever, unconventional solution to hide from Interpol. When Dr Sternmacher calls Callaghan to warn him about an issue that can’t be discussed over the phone, he reluctantly accepts to go back to Europe. Callaghan eventually discovers that Mafia boss Vasily Ivanovich has adopted a new, foolproof identity. Next he learns that Vasily has abducted his wife Samantha in Australia. In exchange for her release, Vasily demands his immediate presence in Paris, leaving Callaghan with no choice but to accept. Then a shared, unexpected and terrifying event changes life for both of them, leading Vasily and Callaghan to face each other during a long, tense night. At dawn, they go separate ways, determined to find a way to bring each other one down – for good. KIRKUS REVIEWS A gangster seeks vengeance on Matthias Callaghan in the grand finale of Ekemar’s psychological-thriller series. After wriggling out of a murder rap and exposing the Russian mob in the United Kingdom, Callaghan heads back to Australia, where he feels safe building a new home for his family. However, his vengeful machinations, which involved taking on multiple identities over the course of the series, have had consequences that won’t allow him to rest quite yet. Ekemar’s solid character construction renders even the wildest plot twists wholly plausible. In addition to the main narrative, there are various side plots and personalities that add spice or complications as well as a number of inept crooks that lend the narrative some comic relief. It all leads up to a final confrontation between Callaghan and Ivanovich that’s exciting, poignant, and up-close and personal. Ekemar explores themes of identity as skillfully as a maestro, sounding notes of existential angst and potboiler-y excitement throughout. This final episode also nicely ties up the series’ loose ends in a satisfying climax. A thrilling ending to a multilayered seven-book saga that’s sure to be a hit with fans.

A Pen Named Man: Our Essence, a book by John W. Newton. Get A Pen Named Man: Our Essence Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download A Pen Named Man: Our Essence books, A person cannot create a butterfly out of non-living components and breathe life into it. Neither can he construct a star like our sun nor a magnificent celestial body like planet Earth. God, however, can do these things and more! Although a human being cannot create a butterfly, he can live a good and decent life and serve as God's representative on Earth by becoming the gardener and governor of Nature. The one thing we know of our spiritual element, or soul, is that it's derived from God and sustains our biological and non-biological realms. In A Pen Named Man: Our Essence we focus on the worldly components of man, that is, those components we can sense, touch, and feel. Hence, we identify and discuss the physical side of man with its several body systems as well as the mental side with its rational and emotive elements. A central theme involves the need to synthesize the physiological and psychological components into a compatible and workable union, such that the drives and needs of neither realm dominate one's behavior in an unrealistic, unattainable manner. Human values are debated relative to being permanent and good for all time vs. temporary and adjusted with time and circumstance. Two significant values under review deal with the justification for taking another person's life and the morality of sexual involvement inside and outside of marriage. The emotion of love is discussed in detail.

The Valley, a book by Richard Benson. Get The Valley Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download The Valley books, The close-knit villages of the Dearne Valley were home to four generations of the Hollingworth family. Spanning Richard Benson's great-grandmother Winnie's ninety-two years in the valley, and drawing on years of historical research, interviews and anecdotes, The Valley lets us into generations of carousing and banter as the family's attempts to build a better and fairer world for themselves meet sometimes with triumph, sometimes with bitter defeat. Against a backdrop of underground explosions, strikes and pit closures, these are unflinching, deeply personal stories of battles between the sexes in a man's world sustained by strong women; of growing up, and the power of love and imagination to transform lives.
